Rode B Bar to Lytton, via Keefers FSR last weekend, fun road, lots of viewpoints, passable with larger ADV bikes, although in a couple of spots you would want to have *some* off-road experience before attempting.

I'm reluctant to agree with their premise respecting design. We ride an old drz and a new KTM 350, mostly off road and the DRZ holds well in the comparison, just yields badly in weight and mileage and top-end power and suspension and flickability. But it has lots more torque, decent brakes, reliability and easy handling traits! Watching for the new KTM 690 and 390 dual sports, early reports on the 390 engine are very good. Primarily, I cannot get away from my fear over the loss of access to public land and the transfer of public land to...

I was up in the Nahatlatch area on Saturday, didn't have time to ride Kookipi myself but I helped some folks having jack problems change a tire, and they had just come through from Harrison E in a stock Jeep Commander, said it was completely clear. Rockfall at the north (Nahatlatch) end was cleared enough to squeeze the Jeep through without issues, so it would be no problem on a big bike now. Also despite the reports a few weeks ago of landowner issues, we went up to the FSR lookout and saw nothing at all to indicate the road was ever...

Here's a link to a well thought out video that discusses the reasons why manufacturers are not updating dual sport bikes and speculates that they will eventually stop making them. I sure hope he's wrong but it just makes too much sense. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylEkhrLKgCc John

Please click on the link below and keep an eye out for this young man from Squamish while you travel in the back country. Suspected to be driving a gold/brown F150 with a plywood tailgate and was "heading out into the mountains" on June 18. Could be anywhere - as far away as Fort St John possibly. http://bc.missing.report/niles-sinnes-squamish/

We ran into a problem with the WYSIWYG Editor on many browsers. We decided not to spend too much time resolving as we need to update software. IF you want to spice up your posts you will have to do it the old fashioned way using BB Codehttp://www.dualsportbc.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcodehttp://www.dualsportbc.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcodeSorry for the inconvenience but it wont be long now (unless I can go out riding)Tom
