Ijust wanted to share some photos of some riding my wife andI did on New Zealand's south island in January.
After browsing many websites and making phone callsI decided on hiring a Suzuki SV650 from Te Waipounamu Motorcycle Hire and Tours (say that fast twice) in Christchurch. (http://www.motorcycle-hire.co.nz/hire.html) They offered the most competitive rates and threw in all the riding gear and luggage as part of the deal as well. The customer service from John and Rex was excellent and they were very interested in hearing about Dualsport BC and the many rides that are planned through it. When they found out we were Canadian they sweetened the deal for us. Ah yes it's good to be from a peaceful country isn't it?
We had the bike for five days and put on a lot of kms. I roughly sketched the route on the Google map attached.

The riding was awesome, beautiful mountain scenery and lakes, twisty roads, it had it all. We usually rented small cabins at motor camps (RV parks) as they were the cheapest option.

The weather was great most of the time. There was a constant wind on a few days and the day we tried to ride in Milford Sound we turned back due to rain. But overall it was a great trip and I would recommend it to anybody who loves riding motorcycles. Here are a few more pics:
