I'm dreaming of riding the Baja late this year or early next year I would like to retrace Tom's trip from a while back . Any body want to join in . I have a big enough truck and trailer for 3 possibly 4 other riders and bikes . How about being our tour guide Tom .

Sooooooooo just when did you want to go. I have been down a couple of times. Even servived a trip with Tom to Baja. Actually I came back on my bike Tom found an alternate way to get his bike and himself back.

No definite dates just trying to get a group together. Work out dates that are good with who evers interested . My calander is pretty flexible

I just moved this thread from the "Dead Zone" to here so it won't get lost and more riders will see it.

There are some tentative plans (they haven't been posted yet) to do Baja the first week of January 2008. They include taking the bus as a support vehicle.

For those who might be interested

A guided tour of Baja (if you can keep up) mostly off road

Riding a fast pace all the way to Cabo and back to San Deigo (about 2400 miles)

Suitable for 400s with large gas tanks (min 300 kms)

Motels and Hotels all the way ( You can sleep in the bus if you want)

Bus will travel as far as San Ignacio ( about half way through Baja)

Im thinking the DSBC Bus leaving Vancouver January 10/08 to Baja Returningto Vancouver January 31/08

Room For 6 riders 1 Driver

Cost will be about $600 for your bike, gear and yourself

Only riders that I feel can make the trip will be concidered ( its not ez, otherwise everyone would do it ) How do you know if you can make the short list? Come on out riding, Dead Zone is a great test.

Hey Tom why not try first week of Feb as there is very little going on then in Vancouver.

I would love to do the ride on a my 400.........that is if I am good enough.

I have a ride planned for Jan in Cambodia.

That is a good idea. I will be back in country in May.
