Post up if you guys are coming, otherwise this forum is a waste of time and you guys are missing out on some trails in your own back yard that you never knew existed.

In 48 hours this thread got over 60 views, for the 20 seconds that it took for you to post a ride, thats not a bad return. Hardly making this forum a waste of time for many. This site currently has over 1.8 million hits per month and growing every month.
I appreciate that a dealersuch as yourself is trying to do something for the DS community:tup::tup:certainly more than the other dealers. But I have to wonder if your post may not have all the information required for newer or less skilled riders to feel comfortable to post and then show upfor theride.
I have heard that these weekday rides are a blast so for those who have been on one of 5th gears rides, POST your comments. This will help others to understand whats going on and give Bill a reason to continue with these rides.
Keep Up The Good Work Bill

It's not a waste but if 60 people view and if 3 people but down " I'm coming " then I'm sure that 3 other people who know them will go " Hey such and such is going " . Then they will want to come. Otherwise me spending Sunday pre running a trail and putting the bike into 4 feet of water and spending 2 hours drying it out doesn't make one feel incrdibly stupid.
These are great rides for beginner riders. We'll introduce you to everyone and if you get stuck we'll help out and wait. Nobody gets left behind , everyone has a good time

I regret that I haven't participated in these rides Bill.
Between our work on the Dead Zone this month and the work that issues me cheques; I've been swamped. July should be better...
You've been a supporter of this site, our DZ event, and a great dealer for me. Thanks for continuing to increase ridership and build our community.

IMO, the 'these are great ride for beginner riders" is key. I'm not up for getting the KLR stuck in 4 ft of water or wrecking it on something stupid. I'm commuting on it and it needs to work :)
I'll try to make it on Thursday, I may be able to drag Tony along too.

Great ride from 5th Gear up to Eagle Ridge near the old Westwood race track.
What a view from the lookout !!!. 8 DSer's showed up and we met more riders up there. We did some road, some "C", and some "B" that was turning into "A":wi:. Put 65 km's on the Husky 510 and had an awesome time. Thank's to Bill for guiding us and putting a thrill into the ride.:shock:Am looking forward to the next ride!!
Hope everyone made it home OK.

thanks bill it was a good ride my only problem was my mind was willing my bod was not. so i headed off early.had to be up at 4am again. hope to try again next time. Thanks again to bill and the other riders.
A big thanks to Bill for putting this ride together, that was the most fun i've had while fully dressed in a long time. Great to meet all the other riders as well! It's nice to be able to put faces to the names on here! I highly recomend to everyone to partake in some of these rides. I got home at 10:00 and had to get up @ 1:00am for work, but it was well worth it and I plan to make as many of these as possible. Oneof the great things about group riding is it forces you to challenge yourself and try things you may not when on your own. Speaking of which, I would like to thank Claude for unknowingly shaming me into trying a trail I didn't think I could do. I was sitting there thinking I needed a lighterbike than my 650L for that last trail, when I saw his 950Adventure head in, well, I couldn't very well sit that one out!! Also, it would appear that Husqvarna used aircraft aluminum for the front rim on the 610, because Bill's kept trying to gain altitude! The only casualty was a broken shock bolt on the TS-200, making it do a bad imitation of one of those OCCchoppers, I rode as far as Maple Ridge with him, hope he madeit home OK. Thanks again to all that made it out, had a blast and hope to do it again soon!!

yeah that Bill knows how to throw a party, its one of the rare times you see him without his ''other son'' Diesel:f:. next time we should venture off on the other side of Eagle Mountain. Andrew and i had snooped around there previously, and it looked like a hella fun area to ride. since the sun was low on the horizon we opted to come back and do the lookout with you guys.
i too agree that Claude, i believe his name is, can really throw that 950adv around, there were a few times i wonder wtf is this crazy guy doing.lmao.
anyways it was nice meeting and riding with you guys and girl. Roger and Andrew, on the husky 2 smokes:wi:
