:DHi all,
I would really like to install permanent hard shell carrying cases on my ride - any ideas, including where to find suitable mounting brackets for them, would be really greatly appreciated from anyone out there!
Thanks for your time,
Dave.

The best i have ever seen by far are pelican cases....water proof, lockable, and tough as hell.
I think a Pelican case setup would be good, but I think you may have to build your own braketing as most people do.
Happy Trails also makes aluminum paniers that are large and top loading. I've seen them in person. They look to be of good quality.
No first hand experience here. I use a Pelican style top case with soft paniers.
Good luck

On my older KLR ( I have 2 of them ) I have the pelican bolted to the rear rack, and then for the 2 on the sides, they are in canvas saddle bags that are hung over the seat, and have pockets sewn in them to carry the cases exact size....then its easy to carry those 2 into my hotel room or take them off the bike....the rear one is bolted on so fairly permanent, and i use it to carry stuff i just leave on the bike.
I plan to transfer all 3 ovr to my new KLR soon.
