View Full Version : Cheap Fork Brace
It's a Front fender mount from a 88 or so Katana..cost $15
This is a better pic, This thing is a good Mod for low bucks.! The bike handles way better on and off road at any speed. It's steel,It doesnt flex and bolts right on.:ted:
Oop's...:shoot:....Guess I posted this in the wrong place. Thanks for moving it.
So Does any one like the brace or what? 97 hit's on the view counter and not one coment. :?

I have a 92 dr 650/ is that what those bolt-holes on the forks are for? anyhow i find the steering kind of stiff, not like my drz 400E (for offroad). maybe i need a steering brace?? or is it just because i never ride the drz at freeway speed.?

How did you figure out that it would fit?
The cast bolt holes onthe shocksare for a street fender, a model in Europe.
I started looking for anything that fit good. The mount from the Katana fit perfect!
It makes a huge difference at hi speed alot more possitive I can ride with one hand at 120km.. Off road the bike goes exactly where you point it!
I highly recomend a fork brace.
I sure hope some of you guy's find a fender mount like this..I'd like to hear about it.
I just flew in from Vernon to maple Ridge tuesday. It was ugly..! I did 115 kph most of the way But it was dam windy out of the valley and crazy through the fraser canyon. My DR handledawesome with thebrace and a good set of perelli/ kenda tires.Wish i had someone to chase!

You must have misunderstood him 04.
I'm sure Big White was on the back trails through the canyon.
