I was lucky enough to get a last minute invite with some DSBC'ers out for an awesome ride this past weekend. It started early Friday morning. I left Langley and teamed up with Matt and Mark in North Van. We grabbed a quick coffee and headed north on #99. A quick fuel stop in Squamish, and another in Pemberton. Went up to D'arcy and hit the Hi-line.

I had never been up that road before. What a spectacular view. There is no room for an ooppps on that road. A rock face or a steep plunge await any navigational errors. We went through Seton Portage and then went up and over Mission Pass and down to Carpenter Lake. It was then a quick rip through Moha and into Lilooet to meet Mike for Lunch.
After lunch we dropped some gear at the hotel and hopped back on the bikes. We headed back out towards Moha and up the Yalakom FSR. We crossed over the river and headed up into the hills. This would be the first time into the Shulaps for all 4 of us. Mike had downloaded some tracks posted here on DSBC and we were able to find our way with little trouble. Here are some pics from the Shulaps.

Friday night we rewarded ourselves with a dinner at a greek restaraunt...washed down with a beer or two of course.
Saturday would be an awesome day. We headed out after breakfast towardsHi Bar Road. When we got to the turn-off we figured we should run into Clinton and top up on fuel. It was going to be a long day and no one wanted to run out of gas! Hi Bar Road was fantastic. Huge ranches, twisty gravel, and a big descent into the Fraser River Valley.

We crossed the Fraser on the Big Bar ferry and made our way over towards Chinahead.
For anyone who owns a dualsport bike, Chinahead is a MUST DO sometime in your life. It is absolutely incredible. The ride up is only bettered by the scenic panorama once up top.

From Chinahead we went down MudlakesFSR and Tyaughton Lake FSR and came out at Carpenter Lake. We made the call to head back to Lillooet without gassing up in Goldbridge. We had travelled 140km and had 86km to go to Lillooet. I knew my 640 would make it. The 650R Hondas SHOULD make it, and the 525 had 2 liters of fuel in bottles. It would be close for the 525. We all made it, but the 525 did have to use both fuel bottles.
Sunday would be another great day. We planned out our route the night before over dinner. We tried to convince Vexorg to meet us in Boston Bar and do the Nahatlatch FSR over Kookipi Creek FSR and down Harrison East. He couldn't make it. We left Lillooet on the West side of the Fraser and went all the way down to Nahatlatch FSR. This too was a great road. It was a lot like the Hi-line, no room for mistakes and great scenery.

It was SUPER dusty on Harrison East, so we stopped at the Settler's Pub to wash the dust off our faces andgrab some lunch. Mark took us through some twisty backroads on the way through Mission. A nice way to end off a great weekend. I crossed over at the Albion Ferry looking forward to a hot shower and getting off the bike.
Thanks for a great weekend guys. This was an epic weekend. Everyday was a ride that would on its own have been great, and we strung together 3 days of it!
