Sunday October 19th. The event will be held in an area east of Mission.
We're just finalizing arrangements regarding food, format etc. Should have an announcement on the forum by the weekend.

Looking forward to the announcement.
Is the Newbie ride just logging roads or something more challenging?
My wifes DR200 will probobly go across Canada on its tank. But my piggy doesn't do so well with 2 gallons. Could anyone tell me what kind of range we need for these rides? I still have time to get a larger tank or look at carrying extra fuel in approved container. Thanks in advance.

EZ main route with options of varying difficulty. If you find anything too ez then twist the grip a little more.

Plan on being able to do at least 100km, or 3+ hours for the Noobie ride.
For the majority of DSBC rides, you'll want to be able to do at least 150k.

Yup, WR 450, It holds 1.7 gallons imperial or 8 litres. I haven't run it dry yet but I think It will do the 100 K. I just got a rack and plan on buying a jerry can that will bolt on. I don't like the fuel bottle idea. And of course I will bring a hose along to siphon fuel out of my wife's 200.

have you or your wife ever tried to run dry the 200?
Not yet, we are so busy with work (so we can pay for our toys) We will this fall for sure, on both bikes. Right now we are installing paniers and tank bags etc. I hope to be fully organised for next spring. I don't like to have to depend on people to get us out of trouble. We have started collecting spare parts and tire tubes. There is still the riding skills we need to achieve.
