our annie lake/mt skukum trip was aborted due to snow in the hills, so we ended up hitting the trans canada trail from the end of Takhini River Road. (Trans canada trail is mixed use in this section)
the actual TCT was pretty much just a dirt road, easily negotiated even in the family truckster, but there were some offshoots and powerlines that had some nicer riding for us.
there were no incidents, it was a good early season run, a few realizations about our gear and setup that will have to be remedied in the future:
~My 15/42 gearing on the XR is great on the highway, but sucks for low speeds
~Pirelli Scorpion is not a mud tire
~Better strap and bungee setups were needed for fuel and cargo on some bikes
all in all, it was a good ride, and good to meet some local riders!

Awesome pics. Man that looks like nice turf to ride in. The open woods looks very similar to here. Yesterday I was bombing through the pine flats going where ever I wanted to go.
Thanks for the pics. Poor car .........

The problem with the Yukon is that the views suck! That's the Takini RIver valley.

This was the end of a technical little climb. We turned around right after this, as it looked like pretty sensitive area.

Gladly went toe to toe with the branches. They agreed to call it a draw.

I went a bit farther through this trail last weekend, beaver dams have made it impossible to make it out to the highway, but it's a fun ride (though a bit longer than I expected)
