Finally got my tank all done and put back together.

Decided to use my helmet for inspiration on the colours. Might still add a green strip or two but for now I'm liking it!

Thanks man.....

it's just the stock steel tank. I built up about 5 layers with lots of sanding in between to make it nice and smooth. It's amazing how good a can of tremclad can work if you put the time and energy into it.......

I thought I was going to go with gloss black so I originally bought a can of the Automotive Tremclad and did my building of layers with that. Then I decided I wanted Matte which I did for just the top layer. Lots of drying time and sanding with 400 grit between coats (that's why it took 2 weeks). Then I finished the look with some gold pinstripe tape (also from Crappy Tire).
