Just got back from an epic trip to The Oregon desert. On day 3 I hit a rock with my fork leg bottom. The leg started weeping oil - not good - esp as it wept onto my brake rotor. Three days later she was still weeping oil, and as long as I was on road the brake rotor didn't get too contaminated - I had reasonable front brakes and a suspension that was functional.
I'm getting the bike to the shop for a fix - hopefulyl not replacing the tube. But I'd like to put some protection on the bottom of the leg - just below where the axle attaches. I've googled but no result. The best I can think of is some hose clips Anyone seen anything?
