I always wonder why these threads keep popping up,
Then I remember, I too was looking for the Holy Grail of flat tire repair and I found it! I learned how to fix a tube on the trail or side of the road.
After using and riding with guys that use these products, it became clear that not of them offered the all in one solution. Most of these products will only "plug" a hole 1/8" diameter in the contact patch of the tire. Only in a perfect world has that happened to me. I usually get a pinch flat or "Snake Bite" thats two and usually 4 holes and its in the sidewall part of the tire and tube, just where this stuff does not work. If I am lucky enough to get a nail is usually a big sucker and if I dont notice right away it pokes a bunch of holes in my tube.
My other favorite is the cut tire, from a sharp rock, if you havent done it yet you will. this stuff still wont work
Many of you are newer to the adventure of off road riding, you probably run much lower tire pressures than nessesary and that stuff wont plug if you dont have enough pressure. Not to mention that you tube is probably moving around inside the tire.
Now if this stuff does not work what are you going to do then?
You going to have to repair that tire the old fashioned (right) way. So save you money on the goop and get yourself a good repair kit and learn how to use it.
I put on a flat tire repair seminar every season and eveyone is welcome to join it

I've changed tires and tubes before and while not a lot of fun, it isn't that much of a challenge for the average rider. However, if you happen to ride a TW with a 180/80-14 rear tire, changing it on the road-side is a bit more grueling than the average 120/90-17!
I'm not looking for an easy way out or to eliminate the need for repairs...just something that will get me back out of the woods, to within range of BCAA.
RIDE ON is apparently water-based so it washes away easily from hands, tubes, rims etc and it won't deteriorate aluminum or discolor plastic the way that slime can.

i believe Motoged< one of our local guys knows where to get the ride on stuff that your looking for. i'll contact him and get him to post up.
Great...Much appreciated!
One of our site sponsors, International Motorsports (101 - 7225 Brown St Delta, BC) stocks Ride-On. I had them put it in my street bike (Kaw, Versys) and as well as giving flat protection it also did a great job of dynamic wheel balancing. Before I put it in, the bike had a bad shimmy at 130km/hr and it got progressively worse as you went faster. Now it's smooth as silk no matter how fast you go.

A motorcycle will go anywhere the rider has the ability to take it.
