    GPX Tracks

Thanks for the GPX Tracks tonite!

I am confused about part of the B route. The section B-4 (highlighted in screenshot) does not connect to the main route like the rest of the B sections do?

OWDPhotos, it looks like you're missing a large chunk of the C route. That B4 looks right. Your C should connect on both ends of that one. Did your import get truncated?

The way it works this year is that you ride the C until you get to a B (or A or AA) split (or bypass). There is no 'entirely B' route. You should load up all of the tracks into your GPS.

Don't forget the waypoints too, they tell you where the coffee stop is! (and the splits of course)

Ok thanks, I was assuming that the B sections could all be taken one after the other, and had re-routed the track I was going to use to follow the B2 option.

So if you do take the B2 option (middle right to left), this puts you back onto the main route well after where the B3 section would be (bottom right to left), is it going to be a choice of doing either B2 or B3, or somehow backtracking for the B3 after the B2?

According to the overlaid tracks screenshot, doing B2 would mean missing B3 (posted without a background map to keep the non-orcas guessing on how much cool they're missing!).

You are correct. Not all of the B's line up. The are all optional. You can pick and choose as you go.

There will be more info at the rider's meeting.

    Thanks for the clarification!

If anyone's interested I've edited a compacted version of the GPX file to include complete tracks for the C, C+, and B options, good for units that can handle tracks with 1000 waypoints (Garmin 550, 660, etc). This allows you to see your complete track so you don't need to switch back/forth during the ride.

PM me if interested (and registered) and I can send you a download link.

    See you there!

    Kevin.
