Katoom General Hill Hare Scramble at CR

Being held this weekend May 13th at the Campbell River motocross track. Third race in the island series and should be a great event including motocross, endurocross and some of the best single track trails on the island. Volunteers will be appreciated throughout the weekend and camping is available at the track...McIvor Lake just across the road. See you there, Vel and Steve.

    See dirtbiker.ca for more info.

We'll be setting up camp in the AM Sat., see you guys there...will have some bubbly pops in the fridge. Might even convince the wifey to come for a ride.

Great time had by almost everyone.

I say almost 'cause we had a scary high speed crash by one of the faster guys 3/4 through the 4th lap...possible concussion/broken ribs/broken wrist...hoping for the best after his visit to the hospital.

Otherwise Bob Stewart and his volunteers did an excellent job with a course that was more fun than extremely challenging which made for an all out thugfest between riders of equal skill and endurance rather than being decided by almost impassable obstacles...and yes, giant tractor tires aren't impossible to ride over.

Look for some good pictures on dirtbiker.ca and viriders.com.
