Unloading bikes in Princeton BC. Starting the ride along KVR to Coalmont.

    Princeton tunnel.

KVR on the way to Coalmont still.

    Tunnel through rock slide.

    Fuel up in Tullameen BC.
Then heading over lower rd to Coq. Hwy around old toll booth.

We figured we would make it down the Coq. railway canyon and quickly realized we were about 3 weeks too earlier.

Heading up the railway canyon from the west end.

One of the many water falls.

    Railway tunnel in canyon.

This is cool. They diverted the water away from the old tracks via a tunnel.

Looking east up the railway canyon and still no snow that we had previousily ran into an hour earlier.

And then we found it still around 1300m.

Rode the Pavement from Hope up to Boston bar for dinner at this place before heading up the Nahatlatch.

Had our choice of 5 campgrounds with no one around anywhere.
We had planned to head out over Harrison east in morning but hunters and locals told us no way with the amount of snow fall still up there.

Lytton Ferry. Just as I pulled up they had disconnected and pulled away by 20ft. The guys were nice enough to come back and get the 3 of us. He advised that they were just closing for 1 hr lunch.
He also stated the ferry service would be close due to high water with in days.

If anyone finds the ferry closed, we dicovered this on the railway bridge just south.
Its a walk way just big enough for our bikes as well. It is easily accessable from both sides within 1km from the ferry.
So if your stuck, take it, we rode it just for fun.

This is what it looks like with a guy riding it. cool.

After breaky in Lytton we found we could avoid pavement by heading directly north out of Lytton up into the Monkey wrench riding areas. Then down to Spences bridge.

Brookmere water tower. We rode the pavement from Spences Bridge down to Merritt then Cold water rd to KVR. for our trip back to Princeton.

Awesome trip but to early in the season for some of our planned routes.

Looks like a nice getaway! Have a GPS of your route? I am looking for a new fun route to do this spring. I can trade for a nice tour around Lillooet over Chinahead!

    GPS map pics

This is part of day 2 ride. up west side of the fraser, Lytton then north up cool FSR. Dead ended in monkey wrench riding area where we found a single track through to FSR down to spences bridge.

Part of 1st day. Tried to head down through the old KVR coq. canyon. But to much snow as the pics' show. Then we tried to head up north through the Caroline mines road to Boston bar but the loggers decided to block off the whole rd so no one could use it.
