June 3, 2012 Breaky at Bruces

It's not raining here in Ladner and looking out over the gulf it looks like it's clearing up. The forecast for the Mission area is for clouds in the morning and sunny breaks in the afternoon. Looks like it's gonna be a good day. See ya all at Bruces.

It rained out here last night, but it's not raining now. Looking west looks better than looking east. I think it will be OK.

Pavement in N. Van. is still wet but nothing is coming down, so I'll see you at Bruces!

That's too bad, Rick, you missed a great ride. We couldn't get to where we wanted to go because of snow but we found some other trails that were um... shall we say technically interesting; cross ditches from hell every 100 meters or so and a particularly nasty creek crossing. Some of the guys had their cameras going so maybe we'll see some interesting video.

    Hi John,

I think I have been on that cross-ditch section a couple of years ago. But I was going up hill.

Great ride boyz. What doesn't kill me will hopefully make a better rider.
Heres a little Sunday evening entertainment.
Well see if there are more vids tomorrow.

Great job on the video! Who was that bonehead that decided to go swimming? The best part is that you can actually hear the splash!

Too bad I didn't have my helmet cam with me. I could have got some great under water footage in that hole in the creek.

That was a fun ride, but all the "bear-traps" and that creek episode sort of wore this old boy out. That view site at the end was icing on the cake! A good learning experience!

Hi Rick, the road we were on dead ended at a decommissioned bridge so we had to ride it both ways. I think all of us were hoping it would hook up with an alternate route out - but it didn't.
