    2012 CD ride update, July 27, 2012
July 15, Day 19, we were ride between Abiquiq NM and Espanola NM
When I dumped the bike, the bike kept going (not very far) when I hit the ground.
I have a broken collar bone and cracked ribs. A local with a place up in the mountain,
loaded the bike on his pickup and transported me and the bike to EM. In Espanola NM.
I spent 5 days hold up in the hotel in Espanola; flying home July 20, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Vancouver. The bike was shipped to Blaine, will pick it on Monday.
The body (mine) is improving. The bike will be going to the Dr. next week.

Bill Sorry to hear about your spill. I know what a lost summer of riding feels like. Allow yourself time to heal. I am getting back on the Routledge horse as I write: I will not be chasing any 25 year olds, and I will be wishing you a quick recovery.

You gotta stop that Evel Kneivel shit Bill.Glad to hear it was not worse on your body. You can buy bike parts but healing takes time.

    All the best,

    Bill,

Glad to hear you are good enough to fill us in on your adventures, I am sorry to hear about your injuries. I have broken many ribs as well as my collar bone (twice), I try to spread the injuries out instead of doing it all at the same time. You must be trying to catch up . Take care and rest up, we will look forward to seeing you as soon as you are able.

Sorry for the slow response. The CD can be done on a V-Strom with it's limited clearance if it has a shid plate that will stand up
to taking the rocks. I have 1 from Scorpian.

This is where the bike sat after it bucked me off.

I'm the directing the loading fom my chair to the right of Mike's sholder.

No scratches on the Bike and no bruses on the Body.

We got past this and came to a tree down and there was more elevation gain, so we back tracked.

Grand Teton when The Bike Looked Better.
