I would have had a few questions for this "ranger" :

    1. Where is your ID ?
    2. Do you have a copy of these rules I can look at ?
    3. Where's the sign re "No motorcycles" ?
    4. What have you been smoking ?

    Some advice for the "ranger":

    1. Stop smoking that stuff!
    2. Kiss my *** !!!

And yes, hats off to Tom for having the patience to deal with these kinds of idjits since I'm certain he runs across them in his efforts to keep our acces to the trails.

What is the oil change interval? It is also odd that a competition machine lists service intervals in mileage rather than hours.

And BTW, I like Huskies and BMWs. I would buy both of them (and have had 2 BMW cars/2 BMW bikes) but there hasn't been much support in the past locally for me, hence why I ride orange now.

There is a reason the KLR is still the top selling dual sport on the market today, and it ain't because of its good looks and performance.
    Wait, what?!

There are 2 schedules, one for competition use and the other for regular use. I am listing the regular use schedule which is in km's. Engine oil is done every 1000kms.

My dad always told me two wrongs dont make a right, I just cant seem to learn that one.

Another thing my dad use to say "you want something to cry about? I'll give you something to cry about!" You think this might have been going through my mind when I read Levs first post that started this?

Thanks Dad now Where's my puppy?

I don't want to pick a fight and certainly don't have a dog in the fight but from an outsider looking in it appears you got kind of butt hurt when he attacked the manufacturer of your no doubt fine machine. He wasn't even talking about your generation of bike so the whole thing is pretty lame. There's other negative posts on this forum, you don't jump into them in this manner.

Why would you come to this thread and post your negative opinion
Bottom line you didn't like his opinion and took it personally. Are there parts of your house here where a negaitve can be expressed, I'm sure we'd all like to know to avoid this in the future.

Maybe I should get my newspaper and treat you like the dog your acting like.
Them talk about hitting him with a newspaper!! lol

I dont come to your house a shit all over the carpet.
What does this mean? Again you just got pissy with his opinion.

I'm tired of getting shit on because i don't agree with you.
That was a line from one of Lev's posts, something tells me there's some history here the rest of us may not know about.

As for rallying together for riding areas a silly discussion here that isn't all hugs and kisses isn't nearly enough to bother this group.

Edit; Listen to us it isn't even winter and we're already wanking on about nothing!

    FYI
    .

Tom, if this is the kind of stupid, ignorant mentality that you have to deal with on road/area closure issues then I take my hat off to you. I don't know how you stand it but thank you for being there for us.

    John
Now you coming over to my world, thanks for taking the time to post.

There are a lot of these types out there and they are very organised, with lots of money. When problems arise, as they often do, the first thing government wants to know is how to solve the problem. Closing an area is always considered its quick and easy. Thats where BCORMA and the rest of us come in. We have to try and deal with these problems before they become a problem, this requires a little bit of fortune telling and we are not always right or see everything coming at us.

Triplenickle if I had a prize you would get it, there is a little history between Lev and myself

Im going riding now, I expect this tread will be stagnant over the weekend as we all should be outside having fun playing on our bikes.

    See ya all Tuesday

What are the competition use intervals? These would be what I would follow if not riding on the street.

If I were to follow the Husky regular use (street use I imagine) intervals on my KTM, I would have only changed the oil 4 times in 140+hours. I imagine air filter is the same. It would have blown up long ago. Mind you, so would have the Husky or any other bike for that matter.

No point in arguing with that kind of mentality so I just told him he was wrong and left. I was careful not to roost him but it was sure tempting.

    Classless

In all fairness to the offender, the post has been edited. Hopefully something positive has been achieved. I apologize for the slap in the face, you may have gotten off lightly this time. The difference between misconstruing a person's sense of humour against what the public can read is different to what is rendered around a campfire and bevies with your buds. Without prejudice I would suggest to delay and re-think before hitting submit.

well i do see and respect the opinions of others on here, so here is my humble apology to one and all, for my tasteless remark. and i do have to say that i have not been called a moron to my face in along time! It is quite surprising, how some times things that we post, which may seem humorous or light at the time, get misconstrued by so many other members. I'm taking my marbles and going to another thread, have fun boys.

Hmmmmm........ Let's get away from all the finger pointing drama and get back to talking about motorcycles. Here's an article that indicates Husky might be on the cutting edge of two stroke development and be producing some exceptional 2 stroke dirt bikes and dual sport bikes in the near future. Let's hope this works out for them because a couple of advantages the 2 stoke engine has over the 4 stroke are a much higher power to weight ratio and a significantly lower cost.

When Lev asked WTF happened to Husky the correct answer might be "they're showing us the future of our sport."
