    Church July 21/22 Trail Work

I have decided to continue the work on re establishing the Buffalo Jump Trail for this weekend.

This is more of a Dirt Bike Trail so under 650cc bikes will be able to ride it. This loop will be used for the B riders for this falls Nubee Ride (if we can finish

Im looking for a couple of people to help with the brushing, We have cleared some 2.5 kms of this loop with at least another 2 kms to go. Im guessing there is still about 3 days work to get the trail passable. Lots of brush and some dead fall. Its been a few years and if my memory serves me right there is a short 200 meter downhill that will need some matock work and two small slides, they were rideable but could be fixed up to make this a nice b loop

One cleared this loop should be rideable till early November before the snow hits

Interested in getting a little dirty, post up. Its a long ride to the trailhead where the work begins but is easy for a 650 size bike.

I will be camped at Tamihi and will stage from there

Got two brush cutters ready to go, but I am short on operators. Anybody want to work in the rain?

I spent the day today but won't be there tomorrow, Tom & Neil will be happy to entertain any one who shows up. Buffalo Jump is cleared quad-wide for 3 kilometers and there is that much more to do (but now its downhill) and it is a beauty. 9 am would be a good time to get to Tamihi.

Sunday will be a 9am startOnly Neil and I so far. We will always welcome help. Its not hard work just a lot when you are short handed. Lucky for me I like doing it and I know I need the exercise. This is going to be a great trialTt

    Wicked day clearing trail............................................. .....not.................

Today Sunday July 22/12, tough day. Its a hour ride from the campground up to the trail. At least we get two hours riding in.

The brush is crazy thick, sometimes I wonder why I think these projects are worth taking on, but then ride the trail and know it will be there for everyone to enjoy for however long they want, its all worth it.

We had a new guy this weekend, Rob, super good worker, but this was not his cup of tea. He was looking for some good FSR and was fooled by my "650 friendly" route description. My apologies. Hats off to him though, he got his bike to the trail head, worked his ass off and drank with us when the job was done.
Good Times, Thanks for the help. Oh yea thanks for riding the quad out for me, I hate riding that thing.

Just wait till its finished, B riders (those on sub 650cc bikes) will be able to cover more than 60km loop without crossing another trail

Still going to be a couple of more weeks as we have the Routledge and Loose Screw rides now
