    Beta parts??

Just bought a Beta 450 RR, it's a really fun bike and not too tall for me. Does anyone know a B.C. dealer that I can use for parts? Did a google search and came up with 5th gear, but they didn't reply to my e-mail. I'm trying to find an OEM tool kit and some plastic.

Bill @ 5th Gear is a site sponsor and has been looking after many of the other Beta owners in the lower mainland.
The best/easiest way to get in touch with Bill is to email him. The email address is listed on the site sponsor page; just click on the 5th Gear logo. Or, to make things easy, here you go:

    5thgear@mindless.com

    Hope this helps.

I did send him an e-mail and his reply came to my junk folder. Found it now so I hope I can get what I need before the Rutledge run.

It's been over a month, I give up. I'll get my stuff somewhere else. No answered calls, no answered e-mails. I respect and appreciate that he sponsors the site and does a lot for the sport, but I need to find someone who wants to sell me some parts and will return calls and e-mails. I guess I'll look to the US suppliers.

Does anyone have a rough idea of fuel consumption for the 450 RR Beta motor? maintenance periods etc?

    Thanks

Red, my 525 exc, which is essentially the same motor gets anywhere from 15-20 km per liter. 15km in baja sand washes, 20ish when it's not churning as hard.oil changes every 20 hr's( i've got a ht oil cooler, so almost 2 lt per change).everything else on an as needed basis. The RFS ktm engine is as close to bullet proof as you will find . You may have beta's engine if your bike is 08 or newer? I haven't heard much about them, but on that note-no news is good news right?

Thanks, I will have a 2012 with the Beta motor, the manual says oil and filters every 30 hours, or every 200 litres of fuel, if racing, so if I get at least 15km/litre that would mean at most every 3000 klics. So perhaps 4 to 5 k would be ok. What say those in the know?

I have a 2012 400RR and I change the engine and Trany oil every 10 hours. Better to change oil more often than replace an engine, have 70 hrs on engine and no problems.

Yes, and they didn't get back to me either. I finally was able to put in an order to 5th gear back in August. I've been waiting ever since. I did get some of the parts I needed from Holeshot in under a week, including the time it took for them to arrive at my home in the mail.

Hello, new here and a new Beta owner, bought from Bill at 5th Gear. Has anybody tried buy from Beta US direct, Bill said it will show up in 4-5 days when I was asking him about parts accessories about the bikes, he had a spare air filter for me and stocks the oil filters.

I've bought from the american beta site. Was easy, got it shipped to the border (tsb shipping) and drove down to pick the parts up. Expect they ship anywhere, as the orders are filled by a beta dealer they relay it to it seems.

I put in an order to Mountain motorcycles a couple days ago. Parts were in stock and arrived on the bus today! Great Job! Thanks for the fast service!

They have the Enduro parts as well, sounded like they were dealing more with the Trials stuff? That's good if they are stocking parts, what did you order?

I ordered bearings, seals and spacers, and then a pair of air filters. I ordered the air filters from another guy months before, but the day he was finally going to send them to me he figured out they were the wrong ones. Mountain motorcycles answered the phone, had the right ones in stock, on the bus the same day and in my hands two days later. Excellent service!
