    Select button

I considered buying a 2010 DRZ from the states just for the select button. I was talked out of it by Aaron at modern motorcycling in Vancouver. Now I'm wondering about the 2010 DRZ I bought from him. I suspect that the electronics for that button may be present under the cover and I would just need to install the button. Is anyone able to confirm or deny this?

Allows the display to read in Kilometers vs. Miles. Very handy for those of us that participate in US events.
Strangely enough, the electronics are not present under the case of the Canadian models.
Hopefully the mod that SnackDaddy has directed you to will work out...

I looked at the forum to that link. I found some directions. I couldn't find the jumper that would have done it for me. This jumper would change the speedo to the UK/US model settings and I'd be able to install a "select" button. I think that either the jumper is now changed with a diode and made harder to find (there are a few diodes and chips that are pretty small and any one of them could be it. I have the 2010 version and that link was updated in 2008. So I think things have been made harder to switch.
