    Yalakom Valley Trip- OMG!

I was a bit overzealous in thinking I could do this trip. I also didn't know what to expect after Tyaughton road. Where no woman has gone before! I am told I get some sort of badge now...

Headed out from Pemberton to the Hurley Pass, had drinks in Bralorne then onto Gold Bridge
    Turned off onto Tyaughton road
    Mud Creek road
Lots of creek crossing and mud puddles, a few that I got intimate with
    Yalakom valley/ Shulaps range
Dumped the bike too many times to count, the end result was some fantastic bruises and a swollen lower leg

    China Head mountain
Some tough rocky, terrain, both up and down hill
The view was gorgeous, stunning remote scenery that most people will never see

Thank you to the KTM guys (Jack & Claude) for helping and of course my BMW man! I owe a lot of beers all around!
I remember Jack asking if I brought rain gear- "it's not going to rain- why would I bring rain gear?" Needless to say I was soaked from the knees down after Mud Lake

Headed to Lillooet via West Pavillion FSR
Lots of big fat Kfc Angus cattle grazing on summer pastures
Did the last 60km in the dark with a few deer jumping out to greet us
Arrived in Lillooet at 10:30, deliriously exhausted, covered in dirt but still able to smile
No flat tires, a few bent this and that's and one minor mechanical issue, but all was good

Thanks guys for a memory that will stay with me for a lifetime!

Good on you, that was one day? How many KM?

Did any of your party find and ride singletrack out there?

Riding with faster people always improves skills, imo.

Sweetie, I"m so proud of you.
You hung there like a trooper. If you can handle that, the rest of the summer will be a breeze.
There are dudes on this forum that would have turned around.
Badge of honour comin your way.

@ Claude, did Jack make it back ok with his mysterious sprocket nut release???

I had a blast, would do it again tomorrow.

    Wow, I'm impressed, Libby.

A very long day, for sure. We did Vcr to D'Arcy to Seton Portage to Lilloet and back two weekends ago, and we're very tired. What's your guess as to the distance you traveled?

good job Libby! hate to break it to you but my wife went through from lilloett up west pavillion, over chinahead /mud lakes and down to bralorne with myself and a friend on the july long weekend this summer! So it's passable by girl power both directions! Churn creek was seat deep on her drz and about 75 feet a cross on that weekend. I think i heard a couple of tiny squeals out of her on the way across that crikk! that was a bit unnerving getting swept down stream as you were trying to get across.
you know-once your over the hill, you tend to pick up speed!

Sorry James didn't keep track of the distance, I am bad for that

Cool vid, wish I had taken more pics but being at the back didn't allow for stopping, it was hurry up and catch up

I kinda figured I'm not the only girl to do this ride... congrats to your wife Cactusreid, she's more of a man that I

The DR650 was a trial for the summer, I'm not riding it anymore. But my '08 GSXR 750 is up for sale and I am in the market for a DRZ400! Anyone want a sportbike?!?
