great to hear from you, I am riding a XR650L, and am fairly new to the sport as well. Have you been in the area long to know what trails are available?

rode quite a few trails around here but with all the logging in the area there are new roads being put in all the time and some of the old trails being wiped out.hard to keep up with the changes unless your out riding all the time.kinda hard to get lost around quesnel though.(but not impossible)

Jim looks like it's going to be up to you to get the Cariboo going. Just bring some of that island spirit and you should have a bunch of riding buddies in no time. One of the thingsI did early on was to go introduce myself to the sales guys at the local bike shops and let them know about us. In any event good luck, and happy trails.

Well, sounds like there is some exploring to do, as of now, the insurance is of my bike but I can always trailer it to a start point. Have bike, have trailer, have backroads map book.

There is a large group of KLR riders (and a few other types) in the Williams Lake area. Check out http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/cariboodualsport/

They aren't on here very much, but I have ridden with them and they are a good bunch of guys.

Hey Jim, myself and a few friends do a fair amount of backcountry riding as well as riding some of the local trails. You are more than welcome to come down to Williams Lake and do some riding with us. I ride a WR450f and have a 6.6 Gallon tank for rallying around the countryside.

    Cheers

    Chris.

Just moved to Quesnel - hoping to hook up with some fellow dualsporters to check out the local trails. Ride an XR 650L.

I know that now that I've gone and done this, it's gonna start to snow but...I just got the 640 out of the shop and went for a ride today. Dang, I can't wait for the rest of the snow to melt!
