Where you there? So tell us what happened, what did you see? Is Kamloops the riding mecca? Would you do the Loose Screw again? Come on we want to know

One Word to sum it all!

    AWESOME!!

I was very impressed of Kamloops riding trails.
Big Thanks to those who hosted this event! Chris, Greg, and all you volunteers especially! They did a great job with this event. Even mother nature helped out by making it not too hot!

The length of the "B" ride was just right for a day trip. The views I had seen were better than expected. Wished that I had stopped and taken more photos. I really wanted to stay and do it all over again on Sunday because it was that good!

The highlight of this trip for me were the 2 hill climbs I wanted to take my SM up a second time but did not dare to take it down hill. It was Steeeeep!! I remembered watching someone nearly do a barrel roll down that hill trying to walk down it! LOL! How I wished to have someone take a picture of that hill! All the riders were very friendly and the riding etiquette of everyone was great! Made a lot of new friends there and hope to ride with them again!

I also have to add that the wrap up dinner was just sumptuous! I really enjoyed the steak dinner! Have to thank the camp cooks for doing such a great job feeding us!

Thanks Again for hosting this great ride!
Count me in as an annual Loose Screw rider!

    Sincerely,

    Bren

PS - The draw prizes were a great bonus!!

This event had set a new benchmark!

The roll chart for the A loop was spot on,we did not get lost, did not break a bike, did not run out of fuel and no one ended up in hospital....

Please post some of those pictures taken on the upper loose screw trail.

Dinner last night was excellent! You guys did a great job!

    cheers

I had a great time with the hospitality before and after the ride being first class .I thoughtthe "C" loopcould have been a more difficultfor the first half while the 2nd half was a most enjoyable mixed bag for a ridertoo inexperiencedfor the "B" level. It was so different from the first half I was sure my navigator was wrong and we had taken the incorrect route.

The weather was perfect for the ride. Weshared the ride at times with some of the locals who were most helpful and a couple of others from the Dead Zone.Did anyone got lost on the "C" route?

Count me in for next year.

LOST? only confused, first time was turning down the gas line trail instead of the gravel road to the bottom. We figured that out andlike Chris said later, on the C course take the easiest way! also back tracked at the 4 way stop to Barrier, instead of about 5km to the next turn it was about 20, the map was a good idea.By the way, some of the tire tracks in the field by the ranch gate were ours, just trying to throw the others off! Great camp spot, great hosts and good times. thanks,Steve

First of all I have to give a Huge THANX!!! to EVERYONE that was involved with the Loose Screw, Most of all those of you who attended and made it such a great time. I had slated monday as my clean up day but all the garbage I found in the entire area that was not already in a garbagecan fit into one hand!!! Thank you so much for keeping it clean . So far all I have received is positive feed back but if you have something negitive please don't be afraid to pm me as I want to hear that as well. The feed back is our tool to know what changes to make and improve the event for next year.

I sincerely hope that everyone of you had a great time and I can't wait to see you next year!

If you have pictures from around camp or your ride I would be thrilled if you could send them to cchaster@loosescrewdualsport.com so I can post some of the really good ones on the website.

    Untill next year........Just Give'r

This was a great ride. I dumped my KLR 3 times and punched a hole in my crank case. Even the Moose guard couldn't hold the rock at bay. But my handy dandy aluminum duct tape got me all the way back home in Surrey and even to work today as my car was dead.

Here is a picture of the pre-ride speech. Good one for you to remember the moment:

    http://picasaweb.google.com/dooveman...kyMountainRide

I'll be adding more to the site. I have >500 photos to go through.

Unfortunately I wish I got more of the B route but I was more focused on staying upright and moving along as we were pretty slow.

As for future changes? Be prepared for more people next year! Word spreads
    Brian

Thank you to everyone for respecting the property that was "donated" to the causeLooks like next year we are welcome back

After everyone left all I found laying arround was 2 crushed beer cans. And even with all the bike and truck traffic the ground was none the worse for wear.

Your a "Tread Lightly" bunch of riders

I also took too many pictures. Here's someof them.

    Setting up on Thursday.

And it looks like everyone can read

Thanks Chris, Greg and the rest of the Loose Screw Team

Two Thumbs Up on a ride well done.

Our adventure started before we even left on Friday. I get a call from Ken telling me that Neils bike wont start. Just load it, I will take my electrical kit and we should be able to make it run up at the start. Turned out Neil had a weak battery. Couple of hours later when we are just outside of Merritt we get a call from Niel, he is at the Coke toll booth and the wheel bearing has let go. mmmmmm I think to myself, I wonder what maintenance plan he is on. Anyhow we get to the Canadian Tire just in time before they close and buy a couple of sets of bearing, then its back to the toll booth. Its now dark but we are finally on our way.

We ended up in a local Motel just a few Km from the campsite, next year I will make sure we make it all the way and camp looked like you guys had a great time. The weather couldn't have been better, cool for August.

It took me a while before I final remembered to pull out the camera. got a couple of shots by the Loose Screw Trail (Too Much Fun)

Man, what a great ride and weekend. Even as a "B" rider, I loved the "A" course, especially trying to follow 3 crazy South Africans ( cronkers? ) down the Loose Screw trail .Man, that big guy on that XR650 was a hoot Sat. night. Although I have to say I did not get so drunk that I sh*t in my pants. Great job Chris and Greg, much appreciated. Will definately be back next year. Keep the pic's coming! Al

Back to the Island again and looking forward to next year's event.

Thanks to Chris and the gang for all their hard work in getting the routes set up and all the logisitics that go into preparing for a major event. The fact that everything went so smoothly reflects all the hard work that went into the preparation.

Had a great time riding with the "Sensational Six" Gord G, Gord B, Ray, James and The Joker Greg...our fearless leader. Too bad the bike crapped out and left only the "Fabulous Five" to finish the event....a good carb cleanout and a new plug were in order it seems.

Fond memories of Kamloops dust and serious ruts around Black Lake!

    Until next year!

    Rob
