I have taken the first step to incorporating DSBC as a Society. Picking a name, didn't know that Societies play by a different set of rules. The Government did not like DualSport BC because it reminded them of Sport Bike BC.

So in keeping with the Governments request I made the name long

[shadow=red]DSBC Off Road Adventure Riders Society[/shadow]

Thats a mouthfulbut they loved it:?We usually just us DSBC to identify ourselves, so that will remain the same.

If it doesn't work we can change it later, justtrying to keep the ball rolling

Next step will be to register the Societey with Victoria, should be done by the end of the month.

Hey, that name has a nice ring to it. I like it! Well, done Tom.

On the internet you can be anything you want . . . . . It's strange that so many people choose to be stupid.

Don't want to be a party pooper but when I registered a non-profit society I was informed that there has to a clear regional identity associated with the name eg. rather than DSBC ..... you would use BC .....

Cool! Now we're Advernturers. (Ok, maybe a bit overused these days, but I like the title anyway)

It's fitting. I have many adventures in my trips to the motherland.

P.S. Yes, we need a "stirring the pot icon" as well as a "poking stick", a "drooling", and another "laughing" icon.

I personally would not have chosen that name, for the simple reason that saying " Offroad Adventurers" spelled right out in the title will get the 100% full attention of every tree hugging moron in the world...and once those people get on your case just give up....they have too much spare time on their hands, and will just drag you down to their level of stupidity, and then beat you with experience.

    Just my 2 cents.

We will still go by DSBC the rest (ORARS)is to keep the boys in Victoria happyAnd as far as the tree huggers, mmmmmmmmcfly thats why we have you..........maybe paid membership is starting to make more sense, nothing would make me happier then them paying us to get on our case.

The sweet irony if they had to pay to post their garbage.

Or I can run them down in my Dolerean if you need me to

If you slur the acronym, it's almost like saying "discoverers."
