Hello all, I've got a used 2005 R1200GS lined up for $12.5k. It has 20k miles, still owned by the first ownerwho sounds like he has taken good care of it (all service done atthe dealership). Features include ABS, spoke wheels, heated grips, BMW luggage, taller windscreen, crashbars, throttlelock, 2x electric ports, driving lights, new tires 3k miles ago.
Any thoughts regarding whetherthis is a fair deal?

I guess new it would for $22,000 plus (and taxes) for a bike like that.
I tried looking on a couple of BMW dealers sites and buy and sell, but they did not have any used 1200s for sale. There were some 1150s with 60K on them for 10,000.
Try calling a couple of dealers and ask them.

I'd say that was a pretty good deal, if all is in order. I check frequently to see what's out there re: the 1200GS and this sems fair considering the low milage.

Most of the American bikes have lots of accesories and low miles. But with the Loonie at about 0.80 U.S you have to do your math to make sure it is worth the effort. You also have to pay BMW Canada their $500 bribe money for the recall letter.
The most important thing with any BMW is to make sure it has some warranty left or purchase an extended warranty after you buy the bike.
