2009 Final Dead Zone FUN FACTS:
I've crunched all the numbers and added all the data together and came out with the final results for this installment of FUN FACTS
The official final count for all paid Dead Zone participants was 176. That's the most ever so far.
The Average Age of signed up Dead Zone riders was 45! ! ! !
42% of participants are in their 40s
24% of participants are in their 50s
(notice the weirdness in the numbers above. . .)
Our oldest rider was 69 years old and our youngest rider was 20 years old.

Suzuki rider = 45
KTM rider = 45

Percentage of bikes (as indicated on the entry form) that participated in the event:

The MOST popular bike at the Dead Zone was the Suzuki DRZ 400
15% of ALL the bikes were DRZs.
The 800 GS was the most popular BMW - 45%
The XR650R was the most popular Honda - 38%
The TE610 was the most popular Husky - 50%
Of course the KRL beat all other Kawasakis - 50%
The 525EXC was KTM's popular bike - 34%
The DRZ 400 was 62% of all Suzukis
Where did all of the riders come from:
Lower Mainland - 64%
Vancouver/Gulf Island - 14%
Interior - 11%
Way North (Fort St. John) - 1 rider
USA - 7% 
Ontario - 2 riders 
Alberta - 1 rider
