OK, I have cleaned the oil jet, the pushrod is the improved one, the inner steel clutch disc was replaced, the springs are good, the slave cylinder is good.

Can anyone tell me how to solve the 1st gear creep? It's killing me!

    Thanks!

    Thanks guys.

I have read those links before. I've tried everything listed except for the billet slave cylinder (cheap bastard that I am).

The plugging the oil jet sounds like it might help.

    I'll keep you updated.

Get the Evoluzione slave. Worth every penny. Then you won't have to worry about the stock one taking a crap on you when you are on a trip. Both our bikes have them. You can always install the stock one when you sell the bike and then flog the Evo one to someone on ADVrider.

Did ya try adjusting the lever screw?

Or it could be a warped disc.

does the creeping go away when you first change your oil and would return after a brief ride?

If that is the case, then you are probably experiencing the early stages of water pump seal failure. Disappearing coolant would be the next symptom to come on... and then all the bad effects of having coolant in the oil will follow.

Anyway, that was the problem on my 04 950Adv at about 50,000km.

    hope that helps. Evan

Haven't had more than 20 inutes spare time in the last couple of weeks.

I'm actually scheduling in some ME/KTM time on Sunday night. I've got until 10pm, that's when Rescue Me comes on.

    More to follow!
