    2001 gas gas ec 250 & 1996 honda xr650l

    Both these bikes were stolen from my garage in Surrey/Delta on the evening Dec. 22nd.

    2001 Gas Gas EC250; 2 Stroke; Black and Red; Decorated with Gnarly Parts stickers on the rear fender

    1996 Honda XR650L; Spray painted black & paint is flaking; Cee Bee's Windshield; & FMF Core IV Muffler.

    My guess is that they are going to hit the market sometime after Xmas. For a quick sale they may move in the lower mainland. Though they may move them to the island or the interior for less heat.

    My name is Adam Turner. I live in the lower mainland of British Columbia. On the night of December 22nd two dirtbikes were stolen from my garage a;
    · 2001 Gas Gas EC 250; Black and Red; GPR Steering Stabilizer: Gnarlyparts.com stickers on the rear fender

    · 1997 Honda XR 650L: White; Spray Painted Black, Paint Flaking and Peeling; Cee Bee’s Windshield

    The Gas Gas is in Tip Top shape, unfortunately not requiring many parts at the moment. The head light wiring is broken and needs repair & the front tire has very little tread left.

    VIN: VTREC250111001142
    Engine: BE250112002

    The Honda is a little older with a few concerning problems. The engine is leaking oil, it is white underneath the flaking black paint, it has some fuel delivery issues, missing rear foot pegs, and may require a new battery soon. Also has a Cee Bee’s windshield on it.

    Very sorry to hear of the loss, Adam. Just another reminder to us all NOT to purchase stolen items and to ENSURE that the seller is the legitimate owner of the items they have for sale.

    You might want to keep and eye on Craigslist, I was able to recover my stolen camera that way...thieves are stupid, stupid, stupid, in more ways than one. In my case the cops decided, after first refusing, to launch a sting (successful) on the seller of my camera. Also, make sure that you have called all the identifying marks into the police database, including serial numbers. In my camera case, they couldn't charge the perp because none of the owners of the other cameras and laptops had filed loss reports with the RCMP that included serial numbers.

    Merry Christmas anyway!
