Husky TE630 - price, service, suspension mods- Vancouver area

    Greetings

I've recently relocated from Brisbane, Australia and I'm looking at grabbing a TE630. It looks like there isn't much on the 2nd hand market available (i.e. TE610s), so easier to go new and take the hit.

Pacific BMW/Yamaha and International Motorsports Langley seem to be the only two Husky dealers? Is that right, should there be someone else to consider. I dropped by Intl Moto the other day and had a quick look but they didn't have any on the floor. Indicative price would be nice, seems they are hovering around the $9k mark including delivery plus tax. Not sure what a cash deal might yield for me.

With regards to suspension, are there any suspension gurus that know their way around the intricacies of the Husky bikes and how they behave? I mean gurus, not suspension wannabes. Like most bikes, I am fully aware that I will probably be up for a re-spring and re-valve straight off the bat (to put that in context, I haven't left a bike's suspension stock in the last 4 bikes / 8 years or so, had a range of race-tech, ohlins, penske, suspension tech and other bits and pieces on bikes). Also I believe you can put the compression adjusters from the other model TE bikes in the TE630 forks which is a nice addition.

Additional mods are welcome, I plan on dual sport / weekend rides. Long range tank, bash plates, damper, bars, pegs, crank savers and any upgrades to the oil / cooling system deemed necessary. Just nothing that doesn't add functional value!

LTR Racing in Port Orchard Washington, He knows Huskys, he revalved my rear shock, and had the springs in stock for the front forks, and yes the compression adjusters make a world of difference. Turn around is quick. Price was reasonable.
