    Cool 2012 Volunteers needed!

The Orca run needs volunteers for 2012! If you have enjoyed the events
to date, please consider helping with future events. We are in danger
of losing our A and B routes as we need riders, but hopefully riders
with good local knowledge. If possible we'd like to introduce new
    routes for 2012 and on. We can also use help in other areas, such as;

    - Pre-rides and route planning
    - GPS map, route preparation
    - Creating roll charts
    - Other miscellaneous tasks.

Many hands mean light work. Our volunteers have thinned out as life
has changed and some people have gotten busier.

    Prerequisites are:

    A good sense of humour
Respect and appreciation of our sponsors
Ability to work with others, as part of a team
Happy to contribute their time/gas/tools for meetings, rides etc.
Determination to see the job through (no quitters please!)

Thanks for reading! Please sign up below with the type of work you
would be interested in helping with. There will also be a sign-up
    sheet at the event.

And then you can wear the coveted CREW shirts!

    Regards,

    The Orca Run team.

Cool, I get to be the first one to sign up for a volunteer position at next years Orca Run! I'd like to volunteer as a photographer/videographer for the event and will also be available to help with all/any of the things mentioned above; route planning, pre-rides, etc.

Do I get a prize for being number1? LOL.

I'm in. I'm new to everything so give me a job where I can't do any harm. Is it possible to volunteer and still go on the ride?

Yep, some of us rode on event day to unlock gates, be a tour guide for some riders, and sweep the route later. Those of us that made the routes rode it many times before the event so you'll get lots of opportunity to ride!

Oops, just realized what a shitty sweeper I was.......passing groups that looked lost and then going off route after lunch via Skutz Falls and power lines. Geez, I hope everyone made it back okay.

Next year's sweepers should have the following qualities: patience and ability to follow instructions.

Cool, I'm definitely in then. Right now I only have the Wee (that should be entertaining to watch all on it's own) but I'll be seriously looking for a 250 dual sport come August.

Hey there Submann, we met on vacation recently and you gave me those magazines. Remember me? I am happy to volunteer on the Orca ride. I am a total newbie to this sort of thing though. I don't know if thats a hinderance or a help but I am happy to come out and support this event with whatever needs doing.

I'd be up for helping this year...really enjoyed the ride last year. I have limited time but would like to help on routing, GPS mapping, etc. on the c-loop if needed...could also help sweep on the day...give me some dates!...getting excited!

We could always use more help / support / sponsorship for the Loose Screw if there is anyone out there that want to give it.
