Westside Road / Texas Creek Routing? Harrison FSR Conditions?

    Hi All-

I'm planning on riding the East Harrison - Boston Bar - Lytton - Lillooet - Highline Rd - West Harrison loop this week and have a couple of questions:

In the past, I have always taken Hwy 1 and Hwy 12 to connect Boston Bar and Lillooet. I was looking at a map and am wondering about using Westside Road and Texas Creek Road as an alternative. Are these roads open? Are they worth the ride?

Also, does anybody have any recent condition reports on the East or West Harrison FSRs or the Highline Road?

    Thanks,
    Matthew

East Harrison is in good shape, rode it 3 days ago. Boston Bar to Lytton to Lillooet via the westside is great. A must do if you haven't before. The roads are open. It will lengthen your ride though.
    have a great one

    Hey!

Thanks for the info. How long would you estimate to get from BB to Lytton?

Hey, I was just wondering how long this run would take. Is it an overnighter?

Most people (smart people) do it as an overnighter. I like to set a pace and ride it as a long day. By memory, it's around 800kms door to door from my house in Delta. Either way, it's a great ride.

The first time I did the trip we left Lillooet at 9am and got to Harrison just after 2pm. It could be done faster, but why? Enjoy the scenery.....it is awesome out there.

    Pete-
Thanks for chiming in. I'll have to pull out my old gpx files, but 5 hours from Harrison to Lillooet via Texas Creek doesn't sound that much slower than via Boston Bar and Hwy 12. Any idea how long that leg is in terms of distance (fuel)?
